Portugal at Eurovision since 1964...

PORTUGAL has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest since 1964.
Although Portugal has a long history in the Eurovision Festival, throughout all these years we have only been in the TOP 10 of the final positions on 9 occasions.
For more than 20 years, Portugal's best score ever was 6th place in 1996, with the song "O Meu Coração Não Tem Cor", performed by Lúcia Moniz.
Portugal has not appeared 5 times since its Eurovision debut, having withdrawn from the competition in the 1970, 2000, 2002, 2013 and 2016 editions of the Eurovision Festival.
In 2017, Portugal won the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time with 758 points, having achieved the historic feat of recording the highest score in the history of the Eurovision Song Contest, with the song "Amar Pelos Dois", performed by Salvador Sobral.
In 2018, Portugal held the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon for the first time...
